Man charged in homicide of 33-year-old Chilliwack man

A man has now been charged in the homicide of a 33-year-old Chilliwack man in April.

Just after 7 p.m. on April 18, RCMP were called to a housing complex at 46000 Princess Avenue after reports of shots fired outside a home. When police arrived, they found 33-year-old Dave Williams suffering from gunshot wounds. He died at the scene, despite Emergency Medical Services trying to save him.

On April 29, 34 year old Daniel Joseph Fabas was identified as a suspect and associate of Williams. He was arrested in connection with Williams’ death and for offences related to firearms possession. On Aug. 16, Crown Counsel approved a second-degree murder charge against Fabas.

He has been in custody since his arrest for the alleged firearms offences.
