City of Winnipeg gears up for annual bike auction

WINNIPEG — Bike season is back, and if you need a new set of wheels, the city is hosting an auction this weekend.

The city of partnering with The Wrench to offer over 250 ready-to-ride bicycles.

Hundreds of bicycles are collected every year from all over the city, whether they’ve been recovered by police or found abandoned.

The auction begins at 9 a.m. Saturday and 12 p.m. Sunday at East End Arena in Transcona, 517 Pandora Ave. East.

All bicycles are sold as is, without warranty.
