MONTREAL – Montreal police aren’t clowning around when it comes to a recent holdup.
Two men dressed as clowns entered an office building in the city’s east end and made off with an unspecified sum of rent money.
They were wearing one-piece clown costumes, masks and colourful wigs.
And to complete the disguise, they were carrying high-quality balloons.
A police spokesman said today the holdup took place on May 1 and that the public is being asked to help solve the crime.
Police are not saying how much money was stolen and they don’t know whether the men were armed.
