Service has resumed on the Lakeshore East line with minor delays after a person was struck and killed by a GO train Wednesday morning.
GO Transit confirmed the fatality on Twitter with the westbound lanes at Danforth GO suspended for nearly two hours.
Trains had also been holding at Union for the police investigation.
Police say the received a call around 8 a.m. of a person being hit by the train in the area of Greenwood Avenue and Walpole Avenue.

There’s no word yet on how the pedestrian managed to get on the tracks.
Several additional GO train lines have been delayed including the Lakeshore West and Stouffville line.
Passengers on the Lakeshore East line are encouraged to take TTC services from Kennedy, Main Street, Scarborough Town Centre and Union Station subways.
The pedestrian fatality caused some confusion as crowds gathered on the platform at Danforth station.
