The Duke of Cambridge paid tribute to his grandmother, Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, on Monday, describing her as “remarkably energetic” and very much his “boss.”
Speaking in New Delhi at a early birthday party for the Queen, who turns 90 next week, Prince William called her the “guiding force” of their family.

On Tuesday, the royal couple will sit down for lunch with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi before travelling to Kaziranga National Park in the northeastern state of Assam.
The park is home to two-thirds of the world’s great Indian rhinoceros.
The royals will also take a one-day trip to neighbouring Bhutan at the invitation of King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema.
William and Kate will then head back to India, where they will end their tour with a visit to the Taj Mahal, retracing the steps of a 1992 visit to the monument of love by William’s mother, the late Princess Diana.
Her Majesty’s 90th Birthday
The Queen’s 90th birthday is on April 21, and several celebrations are already planned to mark the occasion.
She will unveil a plaque signifying the start of a four-mile Queen’s Walkway at the foot of Castle Hill in Windsor, followed by a walkabout with the Duke of Edinburgh to greet members of the public.
Her Majesty will then light the first in a chain of 1,000 beacons across the world that will celebrate her birthday.
The day will end with a private celebration with members of the Royal family, including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.
The following day, Queen Elizabeth will host U.S. President Barack Obama for a private luncheon at Windsor Castle.
Windsor Castle will host a massive three-day celebration beginning May 12, which will feature 900 horses and more than 1,500 riders and performers during a 90-minute show each night.
More than 25,000 tickets were purchased for the shows and more than 5,000 spectators are expected to watch the extravaganza from screens outside the castle each night.
The Queen is expected to attend the final celebration on May 15.
