NORTH STORMONT, Ont. – Provincial police say they’ve charged 11 men after breaking up a cock-fighting ring in North Stormont Township, Ont.

Police say they received a call about the ring at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators say police arrested the people participating and seized roosters and equipment.
Gerald Tessier, 82, is charged with keeping a cockpit, animal cruelty and causing damage or injury to birds.
Ten other men are charged with causing damage or injury to birds and animal cruelty.
All of the men have been released and will appear in court on June 21.
