Kids get a taste of farm life at ‘Aggie Days’ in Calgary this weekend

CALGARY – The annual “Aggie Days” event at Stampede Park gives kids a chance to take part in hands-on educational experiences with animals and agriculture.

From stock dog trials to cow milking, kids find out what makes the west so unique with its traditions, values, people and animals.

Aggie Days runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Agrium Western Event Centre at Stampede Park.

“We have baby lambs, baby sheep, dairy cattle, beef cattle; we have lamas, we have alpacas. We have anything you’d like to see animal-wise,” said Josh Traptow with the Calgary Stampede.

This is the 31st year of Aggie Days.
