Commuters are now able to use PRESTO to access transit service at Main Street Station.
Politicians and transit officials made the announcement Friday with the promise of a full PRESTO roll out for the 42 remaining subway stations in the near future.
PRESTO uses smart-card technology to pay for fares as opposed to tickets, tokens, passes or cash.

So far, a select number of TTC subway stations are equipped with the new system and on board all TTC streetcars.
