REGINA – A group of Saskatchewan musicians have banded together to help fight for an important cause.

Singer-songwriters J.J. Voss, Alex Runions and Dean Kush have partnered with the Canadian Cancer Society of Saskatchewan to help fight back against cancer.

“Between the three of us we’ve written a lot of songs, probably hundreds,” Kush said.

But now, they’re releasing a new song together titled “Just Watch Me”, which is also the name of the new fundraising campaign.

“It’s really just that admiration for the people who are fighting the battle of their lives,” Kush added.

The trio will be debuting the song Thursday night in front of survivors and people currently battling cancer at the Canadian Cancer Society in Regina.

But in a practice rehearsal with the trio, executive director of the Saskatchewan branch of the Canadian Cancer Society Keith Karasin said the song gave him chills.

“I got them right now thinking about it. It’s about a fight this disease, it’s a rallying cry for the community,” Karasin said.

Karasin said the song will be downloadable for a price of $0.99, and people can add a donation as well.

All proceeds will go towards the Saskatchewan branch of the Canadian Cancer Society.
