He weighed in with his thoughts on a Calgary bid for the 2026 Winter Games, saying there is a process underway right now and the Canadian Olympic Committee will launch a new bidding initiative.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is inviting Canadian cites to showcase their ideas for a future Olympic bid.
Furlong said he fully expects Calgary will step up, and added the success of the 1988 Games will help the city’s chances.
