Although Donald Trump’s star has risen on the political scene, his star has taken a different turn on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.
As the Republican frontrunner continues his controversial run at the US presidency, the number of times his star is defaced on the famous Los Angeles landmark continues to rise.
From dog feces to paint, and from saliva to marker, passersby are leaving their mark beside the blustery billionaire’s name.

While some have questioned whether his star on the Walk of Fame could be removed if the cost of upkeep continues to skyrocket, the organization that oversees the stars, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, has never removed one before and likely won’t.
The Los Angeles Times asked Leron Gubler, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce president and chief executive, whether his organization would ever consider removing Trump’s star or that of comedian Bill Cosby, who has also been embroiled in controversy of late.
“The answer is no,” Gubler said in an emailed response. “Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk.”
