SASKATOON – An unusually mild Pacific wind brought warm weather to parts of southern Saskatchewan Saturday. Environment Canada says the heat led to eight record-breaking temperatures in the province.
It was a sunny day in Saskatoon yesterday which hit 21 C, beating the record for the day set back in 1992 at 20.

Assiniboia also broke its record high of 22 set in 1992 with a 23.4 on April 2. In Elbow, it hit 22.9 to beat a record set back in 1949 at 22.2.
Wynyard now has a record high of 16.6 on April 2 and it’s 20.8 in Watrous.
On Saturday, Moose Jaw claimed hot spot honours with 24.5 – a new record for that day. Rosetown and Swift Current also broke record highs with 23.2 and 22.1 respectively.
In Saskatoon, a high of 12 is expected Monday with a 60 per cent chance of flurries on Tuesday.
