UPDATE: Regina woman arrested after death of Muskowekwan First Nation man

REGINA – Police have arrested a 27-year-old woman from Regina after a 53-year-old man was found dead on the Muskowekwan First Nation.

Police were called to the First Nation on Wednesday afternoon for the report of an unresponsive male at a house.

RCMP and EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Janet Leah Kurek faces one second-degree murder charge in the death of Martin Raymond Oochoo of the Muskowekwan First Nation. Kurek will appear in Provincial Court on Friday.

An autopsy will be completed on Friday or the week of April 4.

RCMP along with Regina General Investigation Section and Yorkton Forensic Identification are all helping with the investigation.
