Police say foul play may be the reason two Saskatchewan men have been missing for over a week.

Barry Heimbecker, 32, and Neilson Kakum, 21, were last seen together at approximately 7:00 a.m. CT on March 20 at a residence in Saskatoon’s Fairhaven neighbourhood.

They were believed to be in a silver late-model Chrysler 300 at the time of their disappearance. The car was later located just off Highway 45 near Swanson.

The girlfriend of one of the men told police she spoke to them via cell phone at 9:30 a.m. the day they went missing. She said they were walking in a field towards Highway 7 and were trying to get a ride.

Police said both men are associated to street gang activity, and that may be a factor in their disappearance.

The Saskatoon Major Crime Unit and Missing Person Task Force are both investigating.

If you own land in the Swanson and Delisle area, police are asking you to check your farmland and out-buildings for suspicious activity.
