A teenage girl is recovering well after she was struck by a vehicle while walking in a southeast Calgary crosswalk Thursday night.

EMS transported the girl, in her early teens, from Glenmore Trail at 18 Street S.E. to the Alberta Children’s Hospital at about 8:15 p.m. Paramedics said she was in stable condition with serious injuries at the time.

Officers shut down the intersection to investigate Thursday night.

Police said tests at the hospital found the girl suffered only minor injuries. No charges had been laid in the case as of Friday morning.
