Former CBC radio host Jian Ghomeshi was acquitted Thursday of sexual assault and overcome resistance by choking charges.
In a Toronto courtroom Justice William B. Horkins said “the evidence fails to prove the allegations beyond a reasonable doubt.”
Horkins spent more than an hour reading his 26-page decision in front of a packed courtroom.
Ghomeshi, 48, had pleaded not guilty to all charges stemming from the allegations involving three women.
