Exhibition Park announces special guests for Children’s Festival

LETHBRIDGE — Exhibition Park has announced its headliners for the annual Children’s Festival. Fan favourite Dora the Explorer will be back, as well as SpongeBob SquarePants, and Little Charmer Lavender.

The Children’s Festival is a fun-filled day packed with activities, sing-alongs and meet and greets. A petting zoo, pedal boats and face painting will also be available.

“What we like about our show is the public that comes, the moms, dads, grampas and grandmas, they can actually get close to Dora,” said Exhibition Park marketing manager Doug Kryzanowski.

“If you go to a bigger venue, in some other cities, it’s the show and that’s it. You don’t get backstage, or you don’t get to meet Dora. It’s a highlight for a lot of young people, and that’s why we’re happy to put this on.”

In addition to fun for the kids, the Mom & Dad, Grandpa & Grandma Trade Show will also offer adults a chance to sneak away and check out some of the booths while the tots stay and play.

The festival will take place Saturday, Apr. 16, and tickets will only be sold at the door.
