Emergency workers airlifted a horse after it fell down a canyon near Los Angeles.
L.A. County and City firefighters teamed up to rescue the injured horse and successfully airlift it to a nearby ranch.
Concerned whether the horse would feel distressed being hoisted through the air, firefighters covered the horse’s eyes and ears to damper its senses.
NBC 4 News in Los Angeles reported that the horse was eventually returned to its owner.
Two helicopters were used in the rescue and no one was injured.
