Arrest warrant issued after home invasion in Sask.

One man is at large and another is facing charges as Saskatchewan RCMP investigate a home invasion. On Tuesday evening, Mounties were called to the Little Pine First Nation.

Two men allegedly forced their way inside a residence occupied by a woman and seven youth. The men’s faces were disguised and they had a knife and firearm with them.

No injuries were reported.

The men fled in a vehicle, which police later determined to be stolen. RCMP located the vehicle on the reserve after it became stuck and arrested a man.

A second man was arrested without incident by police early Wednesday morning after local residents reported a suspicious person walking in the area.

Bryton Semaganis, of Poundmaker First Nation, appeared in North Battleford provincial court on Thursday. The 19-year-old is facing charges such as breaking and entering to commit robbery with a firearm, pointing a firearm, failing to stop while being pursued by police and resisting arrest.

Shane Semaganis, 28, of Poundmaker First Nation, remains at large and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. Cut Knife RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating Semaganis but say he should not be approached.
