Few surprises in store for the start of spring this weekend in Winnipeg

WINNIPEG — There will be no reason to get the shovel out this weekend! Sunny skies will dominate Winnipeg weather but our temperatures will stay at seasonal normal’s.

After nine centimetres of snow fell Wednesday night, the low pressure system that passed through has cleared out and left plenty of sunshine behind. Our temperatures will also stick to daytime highs between -1 C and 1 C.

Spring officially arrives in Manitoba Saturday at 11:30 p.m. CDT. Overnight our low will hit -10 C and those double digit lows will stick around into Sunday as well.

As we ease into spring next week, temperatures will remain right about seasonal so don’t expect any record breaking temperatures on the horizon.
