Canadian poker star becomes American to vote against Donald Trump

Canadian poker legend Daniel Negreanu has taken the oath to become an American citizen in order to vote against Donald Trump in November’s U.S. election.

The Toronto native took to Instagram Saturday to make the announcement.

He warned his followers that he was going to talk politics before he went on a Twitter rant aimed squarely on at the Republican presidential front-runner.

Negreanu, whose nickname is ‘Kid Poker’, has won six World Series of Poker Bracelets and two World Series of Poker events.

Negreanu currently resides in Las Vegas.
