MONTREAL – Despite the camaraderie between Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and U.S. President Barack Obama, the two leaders did acknowledge their differences when it came to whose sports team reigns supreme.

At a joint news conference in Washington D.C., the Prime Minister even took a moment to remember Montreal’s beloved Expos.

“We’ve made tremendous progress on many issues,” he said.
“Unfortunately, I will leave town with my beloved Expos still here in Washington. You can’t have everything.”
The Expos left Montreal for Washington D.C. in 2004, where they’re now called the Nationals.
Obama wasn’t short on jokes at Canada’s expense, even teasing Trudeau about hockey and pointing out that the defending Stanley Cup champions are his hometown team, the Chicago Blackhawks.
