Spider-Man joins Avengers universe in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ trailer

Captain America, the rest of The Avengers and… Spider-Man!? If Marvel fans weren’t excited about the first trailer for Captain America: Civil War they will be for sneak peek number two.

The latest trailer, released Thursday, brings us back into the world of The Avengers, who are still trying to keep the world safe from destruction. After a major disaster occurs, humanity begins to question whether or not superheroes should have full autonomy and be the front-line responders in case of emergency.

A massive rift forms between The Avengers when Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) agrees there should be some sort of legislation policing our favourite superheroes. Of course, Captain America (Chris Evans) doesn’t see it that way. Lines are drawn and alliances are formed, and the gang is divided.

That’s when Spider-Man shows up. (Some are calling the figure’s appearance in the film “the best kept secret since Han Solo’s fate in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”)
