A 79-year-old woman was killed Monday after being hit by a pickup truck in Steinbach.
RCMP said the woman was crossing Main Street at Southwood Drive just after 11:00 a.m., when she was struck by a vehicle. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

The 64 year-old male driver of the pickup truck was not hurt.
Alcohol is not considered a factor in the crash.
Investigators are still working to determine why the collision happened.
