Edmonton couple charged in possesion of $80K worth of drugs in stolen vehicle

CALGARY – In a traffic stop near 12 Avenue South and 28 Street in Lethbridge, police found that an Edmonton couple were driving a vehicle reported stolen in Edmonton.

After police searched the vehicle, they found 400 grams of methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, cannabis resin, oxycodone, morphine, codeine and $1,340 in cash.

The estimated street value of the drugs is $80,000. Police also found more than $15,000 in suspected stolen property.

Walter William Henry, 39, and Tamara Lee Bonner, 33, both of Edmonton, have been jointly charged with the following;

  • Possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
  • Possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of cannabis resin, possession of oxycodone, possession of codeine, possession of morphine.
  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000.
Henry was also charged with failing to comply with a recognizance and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.
