EDMONTON — A young woman and two men are facing a long list charges after a home invasion Monday in northeast Edmonton sent a man to hospital with life-threatening gunshot wounds.

At around 2 p.m., officers were called to reports of a home invasion and shooting near 25 Street and 133 Avenue, in the Kernohan neighbourhood.
The victim, a 31-year-old man, was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition. He has since stabilized, but remains in serious condition.
Police said a silver Pontiac Sunfire car was seen leaving the scene. It was later found in another part of north Edmonton, at a residence near 85 Street and 136 Avenue in the community of Glengarry.
Around 3:30 p.m. a young woman believed to be a suspect was seen leaving the home, so police conducted a traffic stop and arrested her.
Following her arrest, police said they identified two other male suspects also believed to be involved in the violent incident. Police believe the incident was targeted.
“We have some information that leads us to believe the suspects were, had prior knowledge, of the residence,” said Det. Rick Dahl.
Dahl also said the incident is drug-related.
“Drugs were involved but we don’t know, we don’t believe there was any gang affiliation or association that we know of at this point,” he said.
Police would not comment on the relationship between the three suspects or the relationship between the suspects and the victim.
Keith McDermott, 34, is charged with housebreaking to commit aggravated assault, robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent to commit an indictable offense (x2), pointing a firearm (x2), unlawful confinement, uttering threats to cause death, assault with a weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, discharging firearm with intent to endanger, possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property under $5,000 and a breach of conditions (x3).
Alison Burns, 19, is charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (x4), unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a prohibited firearm, possession of prohibited firearms with ammunition readily accessible, possession of break-in instruments and possession of body armour without a permit.
Steve Paxton, 46, is charged with housebreaking to commit aggravated assault, robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent to commit an indictable offense (x2), pointing a firearm (x2), unlawful confinement, uttering threats to cause death and assault with a weapon.
Officers continue to investigate.
