MONTREAL – It was an emotional moment of victory for Christina, a young cancer patient at the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
After almost nine months of treatment, she proudly rang the bell, “celebrating her remission and her courage, with her mum, grandmother and the Children’s team,” said the hospital in a statement.
Christina was so moved as she rang the bell on on Monday, Feb. 15, she covered her face with her hands while being comforted by her family.
The Bell Fund provides support to the more than 4,500 new cancer patients who are diagnosed and treated every year at the MUHC.
