Saskatoon police spots stolen vehicle, arrests teenager

SASKATOON – Saskatoon police say a 17-year-old man is facing charges after a stolen vehicle was recovered Monday. At around 9 p.m. CT, officers observed the vehicle in the area of Fairlight Drive and Pendygrasse Road.

A high-risk traffic stop was conducted near Dawes Avenue and 11th Street West. The teenager was taken into custody without incident.

His charges include theft of motor vehicle, possession of marijuana, breach of undertaking and breach of probation. He’s expected to appear in Saskatoon provincial court Tuesday.

The vehicle was reported stolen at 5:10 p.m. the same day from the 100-block of Idylwyld Drive North.
