HALIFAX – Halifax police have charged a man with two counts of attempted murder following a shooting in Dartmouth six months ago.
Police say multiple shots were fired late on Jan. 10 in the area of Churchill Court in Dartmouth.

Officers later responded to a hospital, where two victims – both in their early 20s – were being treated for gunshot wounds.
Matthew Randall Smith of Dartmouth was arrested Friday morning at the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility in Dartmouth.
The 21-year-old is facing at least 20 charges, including assault with a weapon, discharging a restricted firearm, careless use of a firearm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
