Well-known Cape Breton musician, wife among dead in fatal crash: RCMP

MILLVILLE, CAPE BRETON, N.S. – Police have identified the three people killed Thursday in a head-on crash in Cape Breton.

David Leyden McKeough and Mary Lee McKeough, both of North Sydney, died when their 2009 Dodge Charger collided with a car driven by William Dove of Sydney Mines, who also died.

A 21 year-old woman from North Sydney, the third occupant in the Charger, was taken to the hospital in Sydney where she is expected to recover from her injuries.

RCMP say the crash near Millville happened just before 7 p.m.

Road and weather conditions at the time were good.

A section of Highway 105 west of North Sydney was temporarily closed as crash scene investigators tried to determine what happened.
