Search to resume for missing kayaker in Credit River

WATCH ABOVE: The community of Caledon is in mourning after a tragic kayaking accident on the Credit River leaves one person dead, and another missing. Kaya Firth and Zach Sutherland, both University of Guelph students, were in an apparent kayaking accident. Angie Seth reports.

Provincial police say they’ll be resuming the search today for a missing kayaker along the Credit River in Caledon.

A search yesterday by divers turned up no trace of a man who has been missing since Sunday.

The body of Kaya Firth was recovered on Sunday.

The University of Guelph issued a statement yesterday expressing sympathy to the families of Firth, a third-year English student, and her boyfriend, Zach Sutherland, a fourth-year commerce major.
