Blowing snow, with wind gusts reaching 30 km/hr, made for poor visibility on the roads on Sunday. An estimated 5 cm of snow is expected to fall throughout the day.

Temperatures within city limits hovered around -11 C at noon. Environment Canada said there is also a risk of freezing drizzle into the afternoon and early evening.

Light snow is also forecast with temperatures to remain steady at -8 C.
