Impact sign Belgian international defender Laurent Ciman to one-year extension

MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact has given defender Laurent Ciman a one year contract extension.

The deal will keep the Belgian international in Montreal through the 2018 season.

Ciman was named MLS defender of the year and made the league’s Best 11 last season.

It was his first season in MLS after joining the Impact from Belgian club Standard Liege.

He scored two goals and had two assists and was the anchor of the team’s central defence.
