WINNIPEG — A record-breaking book sale will have a huge effect on many Manitoba children this year.
More money for sick children in our province will be available after the Children’s Hospital Foundation Book Market, which happened this past weekend at the St. Vital Shopping Centre, raised over $170,000. That number is $56,000 more than last year’s sale in February.
Organizers say the money will go towards two libraries in the Children’s hospital, and to research.
There will be two more sales this year. You can drop off unwanted books to any fire hall in Winnipeg at any time of year.
