One man dead, one injured in Vaughan stabbing

VAUGHAN, Ont. – The York Region homicide squad is investigating a fatal stabbing early Sunday morning in Vaughan.

Police say a fight broke out in the parking lot of an entertainment complex near highways 400 and 7 and two men were stabbed.

Investigators say one man was pronounced dead at the scene and a second man is in hospital, but there’s no word on his condition.

The name of the deceased has not been released.

There are witness reports of several people fleeing the scene at the time of the stabbing. Police searched the area with a helicopter and K9 units, but no arrests have been made.
