Edmonton police arson unit investigates suspicious parkade fire

EDMONTON – A suspicious fire at a residential parkade over the weekend is now under investigation by the Edmonton Police Service’s Arson Unit.

Edmonton Fire Rescue crews were called to the area of 98 Street and 84 Avenue between 5:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators believe a 2015 white Ford F150 was deliberately set on fire in the parkade. Two other vehicles, a 1991 GMC Sierra and a 1998 Dodge Caliber, were also damaged in the fire.

No injuries were reported.

Anyone with information on the fire is asked to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Anonymous information can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online.
