EDMONTON — She rose to fame in the 1960s as a member of The Supremes and now Diana Ross has announced a concert date in Edmonton.

Ross will perform at the River Cree Resort and Casino on Tuesday, June 28.

The 71-year-old singer, songwriter and actress is best known for the time she spent as a member of The Supremes. The trio scored its first No. 1 hit in 1964 with Where Did Our Love Go?

Ross left The Supremes in 1969 for a solo career, during which time she recorded hit songs such as Ain’t No Mountain High Enough and I’m Coming Out.

Ross, along with her fellow Supremes Mary Wilson and Florence Ballard, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988.

The 12-time Grammy nominee received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012.
