An Austrian tourist slipped and fell into a well while attempting to take a selfie in the western Indian city of Junagadh, local police said.

Friedel (no last name given) was visiting a fort in Junagadh, when the incident happened.

Police said, on hearing her screams, local tourists rushed to help her and pulled her out using a rope which they made by tying their shirts together.

She sustained minor injuries in the incident Monday.
