Ben Rhodes, deputy national security adviser, says the administration was pleased with the outcome of negotiations between the Chinese government and the State Department that allowed Chen Guangcheng to be allowed to travel.
Rhodes said, “We are pleased at this development.” He spoke with reporters at Camp David, the presidential retreat where President Barack Obama is hosting the Group of Eight summit.
