Regina Police Service constable charged with assault, to appear in court June 18

REGINA – A Regina Police Service constable has been charged with assault.

The charge was laid following an RCMP investigation into a report of an assault at a home Wednesday.

The police officer was not on duty at the time.

Const. Scott Douglas is to appear in provincial court June 18.

Douglas, a two-year-veteran of the force, has placed himself on administrative leave.

The Regina Police Service will also conduct a separate review of what happened.
