Update May 23: Laurier Drive resurfacing to start on May 24th after two-day rain delay, work expected to be completed by Sunday, May 27th.

Update May 22: Both the Warman Road off-ramp closure and Laurier Drive resurfacing have been delayed until further notice due to rain. The temporary closure of the Confederation Bus Terminal remains in place.

There will be more traffic detours and delays for Saskatoon motorists starting next Tuesday as two road projects are set to start, one that will also affect some transit riders.
One that will definitely felt by motorists will be the closing of the Warman Road off-ramp to Circle Drive eastbound starting at 7:00 a.m.
City officials say drivers should use either Idylwyld Drive or Faithful Avenue to access Circle Drive eastbound.
They are also advising motorists to avoid Miller Avenue due to expected increased traffic volumes.

As an alternative, officials say drivers can also use one of the bridge crossings downtown to get to the east side.
With the detours, trucks with high and/or wide loads heading east on Circle Drive or south on Idylwyld may not be able to be accommodated. Truckers should call 657-8522 or 975-2640 in advance for routing through the city.
The ramp closure is needed so crews can reconstruct the failing roadway and crews will be working 24 hours a day, seven days a week in order to complete the construction work.
Barring unforeseen circumstances or bad weather, the ramp is expected to re-open by Sunday, June 10th.
Resurfacing of Laurier Drive between Circle Drive and Confederation Drive will start at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, affecting not only drivers, but also transit riders.
That work will be completed in two phases.
Phase one will see both eastbound lanes and the inside westbound lane closed for three days and the outside westbound lane will be closed for phase two.
There will be no access to the Confederation Transit Terminal during the resurfacing work and temporary bus stops will be set up by the Confederation Mall entrance on Confederation Drive.
Repaving is expected to be done on Friday, May 25th.
