Barrington RCMP are trying to figure out who allegedly stole about two metric tonnes of lobster from a business on Cape Sable Island, N.S.
The lobsters, which were still alive at the time, were taken from a tide pool at an outdoor pound sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

They were in about 48 crates, which held about 100 pounds of the crustacean each, according to police.
Last month, about 1,400 pounds of lobster were allegedly stolen from Morris Island.

Const. Mark Skinner, media relations officer at Nova Scotia RCMP, said over the phone that the two thefts are not currently believed to be related.
