MONTREAL – Quebec provincial police arrested a 51-year-old man in Saint-Lin-Laurentides Friday, wanted in connection with four alleged sexual assaults.
The incidents happened in Mascouche, Saint-Hubert, Terrebonne and Saint-Bruno.
In Terrebonne, a woman was walking outside at 8 p.m. Wednesday when a man approached her in a white or pale-coloured van.
He purportedly exposed himself; she ran away and called police.
Shortly after, at 9:15 p.m., a woman in her 20s was allegedly assaulted in the parking lot of Promenades Saint-Bruno.
“The woman is from Saint-Hyacinthe,” said Melanie Mercille with Longueuil police.
“She was taken to hospital to undergo physical and psychological examinations.”
Officials believe all four incidents are linked. The suspect is expected to appear in court to face charges Saturday.
