A Kelowna man has been slapped with a $7,500 fine for illegally distributing securities for an unlicensed mining company.
Rodney John Snider was sanctioned by the B.C. Security Commission for duping four investors out of $21,000.
The securities were sold for Flag Resources Limited, an Alberta-incorporated mining company that was pulled from the Toronto Stock Exchange in 2005.
The company was later ordered by the BCSC to cease trading for failing to file financial records.
Along with being fined, Snider is prohibited from trading or purchasing securities along with a handful of other sanctions.
