Halifax police are investigating after a man was allegedly caught masturbating at a university library on Saturday.
Two women were on the second floor of the Patrick Power Library at Saint Mary’s University on Jan. 9 when a man they didn’t know sat at their table before walking away.

A short time later, one of the women saw the same man standing by an aisle of books and masturbating.
The women yelled at the man, who fled, and reported the incident to university security.

The suspect is described as a white male between 35 and 45 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build. At the time the incident occurred, he was wearing a dark-coloured toque, blue jeans and a coat.
