Burlington man faces 11 counts; accused of human trafficking girl under 18

BURLINGTON, Ont. – Halton regional police say a 21-year-old man is facing charges following an investigation into alleged human trafficking of a girl under 18 years of age.

Police allege the accused had been trafficking the girl for the purposes of sexual exploitation for a prolonged period of time.

Investigators said Monday that Troy Terrance Taylor of Burlington, Ont. was arrested last Friday.

Taylor faces 11 charges, including forcible confinement, uttering death threats, assault with a weapon, trafficking in persons under 18, living on the avails of prostitution under 18, and making child pornography.

He was to appear in court in Milton, Ont., on Monday.
