Three-year-old Cash Ford knows he’ll never have to wait in a lift line when he heads out for a bit of skiing in Calgary–because he can always count on his family dog, Hunter, to pull him back up after every run.
“Our urban chairlift” is how Cash’s dad, James, describes it.
Hunter has long enjoyed pulling kids around in a dog sled, so Cash’s parents figured the next step would be hooking up a harness and rope so he could pull their son uphill.
The family’s usual spot is the toboggan hill on St. Patrick’s Island, just west of the Calgary Zoo.
“Cash starting skiing as soon as he started walking,” Ford said, adding pairing his son up with Hunter seemed like the logical next step.
“How awesome it is that they get to have this bond,” Cash’s mom, Michelle Pink, said.
