MONTREAL — The Provigo grocery store on Fort Street and Ste. Catherine Street will serve its last customer Jan. 31, according to the union representing the store’s workers.
The landlord, which is the Toyota dealership above the store , isn’t renewing the lease. It isn’t clear what the store will become.
The store employs 48 workers. It also isn’t clear what will happen to the workers – some could move to another Provigo store set to open near the Bell Centre.
