Teenager shot in the face in Prince Albert, Sask.

Police say a 15-year-old boy was shot in the face in Prince Albert, Sask. on Tuesday. The shooting occurred just before 2:45 p.m. CT in the 1700-block of 14th Street West.

The victim’s injuries are considered non-life threatening. He is in stable condition in a Saskatoon hospital.

Just after 6.m. CT the same day, police arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with the shooting. At the time of the arrest, the suspect was in possession of a firearm.

He is expected to appear in Prince Albert provincial court Thursday.

The investigation is ongoing.

Officials say the relationship between the two youth is not yet clear.
