MASKWACIS, Alta. — RCMP have charged a woman in the death of another woman who was found injured near a first nation south of Edmonton.
Christy Ramone Crane, who was 25, was found lying on a gravel road with serious injuries on Dec. 6 near the Samson Cree First Nation.
She died in hospital the next day and an autopsy later determined that her death was a homicide.

RCMP say following an investigation officers arrested Noreen Patricia Crane of Maskwacis.
The 43-year-old has been charged with manslaughter and is to appear in Wetaskiwin provincial court on Thursday.
RCMP did not release any further information about the victim or the accused.
